SHIPPING A FIREARM PURCHASED THROUGH LAFAYETTE SHOOTERS:
Lafayette Shooters Wilderness and Western Wear will transfer ownership of any firearm ONLY to individuals or agencies in possession of a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL). This means we cannot ship directly to you (unless you have an FFL).
At your request Lafayette Shooters Wilderness and Western Wear will transfer your purchased firearm to a licensed gun dealer in your state.
- It is your responsibility to complete all required paperwork when you pick up your purchase from your local dealer.
- It is your responsibility to contact the FFL dealer.
- Be aware that it is customary for your local dealer to charge a transaction fee at the time you pick up your purchase. (This transfer fee is strictly between you and your local dealer. It is your responsibility to check with your local dealer concerning any policy of this kind and concerning your obligations.)
There is no transfer fee paid when purchasing a firearm FROM us. There will be a $75.00 charge for firearms sent TO us as a transfer. We no longer accept transfers from Bud’s Gun shop. Please see our FFL Transfer Policy page for more details.
You the buyer are responsible for forwarding a copy of the FFL and all pertinent contact information to Lafayette Shooters Wilderness and Western Wear. Our contact information is as follows:

GENERAL SHIPPING IMFORMATION:
Shipping charges are based on weight. Whenever possible, we will combine shipping for multiple products on the same order. Lafayette Shooters Wilderness and Western Wear is not responsible for uninsured items lost or damaged in transit by UPS or USPS. If you would like to review the total shipping charges for your order, click Checkout to preview the order. You can preview the order, including shipping charges, before you click to Confirm your order. The shipping and handling charge covers the cost of standard shipping. If you require expedited shipping, the shipping fees will be greater.
Firearms normally ship within 3-7 working days after we receive your payment and a copy of the Federal Firearms License. Non-firearm orders normally ship from 1 to 4 days after we receive your payment.
FIREARM AND KNIFE SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS
It is your responsibility to know the laws in your area. Lafayette Shooters will be in no way responsible for any legal action taken against you for shipping a restricted item to your location.
Lafayette Shooters will only ship to the United States. We do not ship anything to Alaska, California, Hawaii, New York City or surrounding areas.
Other restrictions include, but are not limited to:
Connecticut: No Semi-Auto Rifles
Illinois: No Ammo without FFL or FOID
Massachusetts: No Handguns. No Hi Capacity Mags. No Defense/Clip Fed Shotguns. No Semi-Auto Rifles. No Ammo.
New Jersey: No Hi-Cap Mags over 15 rounds without a FFL.
New York State: Firearms Legal to upper NY State. We do not ship to NYC or surrounding areas. No Gravity knives.
Washington DC: No Hi-Cap Mags. No Ammo.
Washington State: No M-16 Bolts
